Bagatelle St-Chinian “Au Fil de Soi” 17
Bagatelle’s Au Fil de Soi 2017 (formerly named Veillée d’Automne) is a more serious wine than their “Origine,” spending some time in oak barrels, adding complexity and some notes of oak. There’s more structure, but while present, the tannins are fine-grained.
The wine will develop over the course of a year in the cellar, but should be drinkable from the outset with a bit of time in a carafe. We often open bottles of this wine that have five or more years under their belt, and still find them eminently drinkable.
