Goubert Rosé de Flo 2017
Goubert’s 2019 Rosé de Flo is a blend of grenache, syrah, and mourvèdre. The nose shows red fruits like strawberry and raspberry, and the mouth is refreshing and brisk — Florence found a “pretty roundness” alongside notes of grapefruit zest and citrus.
Goubert’s rosé is 100% saigné (literally, “bled”) meaning it’s made only from juice that runs off from uncrushed grapes resting in tank. This makes for a more subtle, delicate style, with increased floral notes and a less material in the mouth. This will match a warm summer evening and a plate of goat cheese on crackers in style.
